Workshops, Short Courses and Classes for Schools

Dance and Music for Education & Exploring Culture

You can access a range programs exploring Egyptian dance and music through Bellydance in a Box. Students will learn about regional dances and the evolution of social folk dance to stage performance. Through percussive instruments and body percussion, students will experience a range of Folkloric dance styles and rhythms from across Egypt. Older students can also delve into the issues of Orientalism and the Western ‘mythstory’ surrounding bellydance (Raks Sharqi). These highly interactive and engaging programs can be tailored to suit different age groups.

Incursions can be booked through Cultural Infusion.
