Where are workshops and classes held?
We come to you with our mobile bellydance workshop in a box. We bring the sound system, the dress ups and the fun! All you need to provide is enough space for people to move safely!
Can you provide a venue?
We do have access to various venues and can help you find a great place for your party or just for the workshop. This does comprise an additional charge of $40-$100 per hour depending on the size of the space and the location you're looking for. Let us know when you book if you need us to find a venue for you.
What do we wear?
FOR PARTIES
You can dance in whatever you happen to be wearing. Our costume box has skirts and coin belts that go over the top of your clothes - no need to go & get changed! You might be heading out to dinner or dancing after the workshop, or just staying home for the rest of the celebrations. Either way, there's no need to ask people to dress to a theme - though it can be fun! If you want a very coordinated look (especially if you're planning lots of photos), you can ask people to dress in the colours you have chosen, or make sure they have a plain coloured top. You might like to go all out and get costumes for yourselves - online stores and second-hand shops are great places to find bits & pieces.
FOR WORKSHOPS
For a casual workshop, whatever you are wearing will work just fine.
If you're planning on some serious dancing, then dance-wear such as leggings/yoga pants and a fitted top is best. Avoid jeans and short skirts where possible.
FOR SHORT COURSES AND CLASSES
It's important to be able to see your alignment and movements in a class situation. So leggings/yoga pants and a fitted top is best - no jeans, no short skirts. Dance slippers or socks can help with turns, but most dancing can be done in bare feet. A scarf that ties around your hips is helpful for you to feel movement, and for us to see your movements.

What if I'm only having a small party, or don't have the minimum number for a class?
Intimate parties are great and you'll learn lots in a small class.
You don't need to have the minimum number to book a class or workshop. That number indicates the minimum dollar amount that will be charged for the class or workshop.

When should we eat?
All parties need food, but you probably want to wait until after the workshop to have a main meal. Snacks are good for before you dance, and hydration is essential!
If you haven't experienced the deliciousness of Middle-Eastern food, you definitely need to add these recipes to your "To Cook" List - for your party, and afterwards! From finger food to a full banquet, you're bound to find the perfect accompaniment for your dance experience.
